The commissioning of this Penstock Leak Detection System (PLDS) in New Jersey, USA was scheduled for March, only to be delayed by travel restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rittmeyer’s creative Technical Services Team came up with a novel solution – remote commissioning. Thanks to the advanced communications, functions and diagnostics of the RISONIC modular “smart” flowmeters, most of the commissioning was carried out remotely.

A final abbreviated commissioning trip was completed last week as travel restrictions eased somewhat. But the plant was able to benefit from the system prior to that thanks to the remote commissioning abilities of the Rittmeyer products and Services Team!
