Level measurement

Are you looking for precise, durable and cost-optimized level measurement solutions? Then Rittmeyer is the right partner for you: With systems for a wide range of applications in the water management sector, we offer the optimal measurement solution for every requirement - be it hydrostatic, pneumatic, or ultrasonic. All of our systems have high security standards allowing the detection of interferences or errors at the earliest possible stage. The low power input of the equipment enables operation away from established infrastructures. For example, the power supply can be provided by compact solar modules. Furthermore, the use of high quality, durable industrial components guarantees investment protection.

Hydrostatic level measurement

A hydrostatic level measurement is done with a highly precise measuring system that is even suited for high water pressures and volumes such as dams and barrages up to 275 meters. The pressure transducer is directly loaded with the water column to be measured.

Advantages:

  • High-precision level measurement up to 275 m
  • Very precise calculation of the storage volume
  • Suitable for small and large volume

Pneumatic level measurement

For pneumatic level measurements using the bubbling-through method, the sensor, without having direct water contact , measures the counter pressure created by an air compressor. This high precision level measurement is suitable for large basins and storage tanks as well as barrages of up to 135 meters.

Advantages:

  • High-precision level measurement up to 135 m
  • Very precise calculation of the storage volume
  • Sensor without direct water contact
  • Suitable for small and medium volumes

Volume calculation

High-precision storage tank and water basin volume and level measurements are made possible with temperature-compensated piezoresistive immersion probes or pressure transmitters. Thanks to predefined applications, level measurements in spherical or cylindrical tanks are quickly feasible as well.

Differential pressure measurement

Rake losses are calculated from the differential pressure measurements of two immersion probes that are connected to the same evaluation unit. With continuous monitoring of the water level, rake blockages (e.g. caused by flotsam) can be promptly detected and corrective actions like sending of an alarm or automated purification can be taken.

Level measurement with a float

By means of a float connected to the measurement system via a chain and gear wheel, a very robust and durable level measurement can easily be configured.

Level measurement with any sensors

For level measurements any kind of data collection sensors, such as ultrasonic or radar sensors, can be connected. For monitoring the water quality, temperature or several chemical and physical characteristics, other sensors can be used besides level sensors as well.
