Rittmeyer is strengthening its cyber resilience
As a provider of measurement and control technology for critical infrastructure, Rittmeyer bears a special responsibility for the security of its systems. To further strengthen this security in the digital environment, the company has conducted comprehensive IT and OT security audits in collaboration with specialists from Redguard.
The focus was on products and solutions such as the RITOP process control system and the RITUNE® optimization platform, as well as internal applications such as the remote maintenance platform for customer systems and the document management system.
Through targeted penetration tests and an architecture review, potential vulnerabilities were identified and the systems’ resilience to current threat scenarios was assessed.
IT/OT Security Assessments
Particular attention was paid to the complex architecture and the close integration with OT systems. Using test environments, attack scenarios could be simulated without jeopardizing ongoing operations. The independent security assessments provided valuable insights that will enable the structured further development of products and solutions and the sustainable strengthening of cyber resilience.
The collaboration with Redguard will continue in the future and now also includes ICT assessments conducted directly at customer sites. The goal is to achieve a consistent level of security—from product development through commissioning to the secure operation of infrastructures.
